Training for young entrepreneurs - beginners in Kharkiv, Severodonetsk and Lysychansk on sustainable financing 27.10.2020

For sixteen entrepreneurs from Kharkiv and Luhansk oblasts, experienced Ukrainian and American business development trainers will conduct an intensive 4-day training at the American House Cultural Center in Kyiv in February-March 2021 on the following topics: 1) Mechanics of Business Financing. 2) Best Practices and Models of Business Financing. 3) Concept Pitching. 4) Accountability to Investors and Lenders. 5) Ways to Sustain Financing Longer-Term. Travel, accommodation, and meals during the training are covered by the program. In case of restrictions on conducting activities due to the situation with COVID-19, training will be conducted remotely for 1.5 - 2 hours / session according to the developed distance learning course. Priority sectors of the program: creative industries, information technologies, food industries / public catering; agriculture; health care. Candidate age and experience requirements: young entrepreneurs – beginners aged 21 to 35 years of age who established their start-ups during the past 18 months. Especially encouraged to apply: women; youth with disabilities; members of the LGBTI + community; youth in rural areas; demobilized ATO / OOS servicemen; internally displaced persons; young people in difficult life circumstances. The training is organized by the international non-profit organization Project Harmony, Inc. and the Kharkiv Public Center for Private Initiatives with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. Applicants must provide (present the original and provide a copy): 1. Identity card indicating the date of birth. 2. Documents certifying the entrepreneurial status, including private entrepreneurs. 3. Two photos sized 3 x 4 cm. 4. Resume (list of personal achievements and skills) 5. Motivation letter in which candidates indicate why they would like to participate; what do they plan to gain from this training; personal experience and achievements in searching financing for their start-ups; and how they plan to use the knowledge gained during the training. 6. Consent to the processing of personal data (issued at the time of application).
